Work? What Work?

I think yesterday was the first day in over three weeks that I actually spent nine hours sitting at my desk working! Otherwise, I've been on the road, had staff from out Texas office in town, or on various field trips around DC (anyone need to know about available office space in downtown? I'm your girl). That's meant logging onto e-mail late at night, or working on planes, or spending Sunday afternoons proofreading.

But all that? ... way better than sitting at a desk for nine hours! I actually found it hard to concentrate! It was almost as if there was too much time. I kept telling myself, 'oh, it's only 10 a.m., I'll start my board report after lunch... oh, it's 1 p.m., I'll start my board report by 3..." I think I'd rather have a limited amount of time where I just have to crank out the work!

Of course, ask me next week and I'll probably be complaining that I'm NOT at my desk. I'm headed to Cherry Hill, NJ, tomorrow for the funeral of an aunt, a wonderful woman. Then there's the holiday weekend, and then some of the Dallas staff are back in DC. More office space visits and video filming, and then I follow them back to Dallas for a week. Mike will join me there, and we're off to Jackson Hole, Wy.
But not before one more day, stuck at my desk!

Oh I've been to Jackson Hole! Lovely lovely town. There's a great burger place too in town, I'm sure it's well known. You're going to Grand Teton right?
